The concept for the Brook Street store came about through a ton of research on my behalf & my ongoing design collaboration with Nick Stringer from Shed the Interior architecture consultancy. I have a big library that I have collected over the years. I spent hours researching what my cathedral of cool would be like. “I want to take people on a journey, we’ve created a make believe world of super cool icons from the last fifty years, a special cast of diverse people, who created their own worlds, all outsiders; all very influential in world we live in today.I wanted to create a cathedral of cool, democratic, in that it’s not about money. A young musician or student could come and look or buy a book or a millionaire Hip Hop impresario would find things of interest too.” Nick Hart
